The debate on whether or not teenagers should expect candy for Halloween is one that resurfaces every year. According to Today.com and The Huffington Post any parents believe that Halloween is a holiday for children who still have spirit, as opposed to teenagers who show up in normal clothes expecting candy. When interviewing students at Panther Creek, it was a fairly common consensus that teenagers SHOULD be able to trick-or-treat each halloween. The results of a poll run on Twitter reflect that out of 85 responses, 71% of people think teenagers should be able to trick-or-treat. According to The National Post and BBC News, a town in Canada banned teenage trick-or-treating. While many teenagers opt to attend parties and hang out with friends, some still prefer to dress up and collect candy. Many teens were seen out on the streets in costume this past Monday, executing their belief that they too should be able to receive candy.
