Quiero más Burritos! Muy delicioso! Around the area, Mexican or southwestern fast casual restaurants have become a major hit among the community. Restaurants such as Moe’s, Qdoba, Lime, and Chipotle truly leave the customer fully satisfied with their large-portion sizes and low prices. Though these restaurants are very similar, many students tend to have a preference of which one they consider “the best.” Below are students commentary on each.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Chipotle Mexican Grill prides itself on producing quality food that is authentic and healthy. According to Chipotle, they only gather ingredients from the best animals and ingredients from the best farms; hence the slogan, “ We only make food with integrity.” Students truly appreciate the pride that Chipotle puts into the processing of the food and this constantly has them crawling for more. “ The food is all natural and is really good quality. They also make us feel so welcome which makes our experience better,” one group of students explained. “Chipotle surely knows how to whip up one good green burrito!”

Qdoba

“Man I would do some things for that queso.” This student quote tells everything you need to know about the Mexican fad of Qdoba. “Food for people who love food” is the restaurant’s slogan and ultimately is what they are striving to achieve as their main mission is to make foods that the customers enjoy. Qdoba was the first southwestern burrito line restaurant of the area causing many of their fans to have become attached at an early date. Though many say that the store is always busy, Qdoba loves this as they say that the more customers present, the more people they can satisfy.

 Moe’s

“WELCOME TO MOEEE’S!” Known for their obnoxious yet friendly greeting, Moe’s Southwest Grill was the most popular Mexican restaurant amongst the student body. “The free chips are a stress reliever on my pockets,” “the new soda machine really blows my mind with choices of drinks,” and “I love the fact that I have more options to choose from” are just some of the numerous quotes we received about the restaurant. Moe’s is a new addition to the Apex/ Cary area and has seemed to explode among the community. It is truly evident that they truly know how to spice up the hearts of their customers.

Lime

Lime’s goal is to create fresh, healthy, organic, and sustainable food for their customers to consume. Not many people know of its existence just yet; however, the store has the potential to explode amongst the area. “I love their burritos! Best quality hands down,” says a student, which is exactly what the restaurant wants their consumers to think. The restaurant is much more casual than the others, however the food production is still speedy. Though at an infant stage, Lime is waiting for the moment in which they can become a major competitor with the other powerhouses of the area.

Overall, Mexican cuisine has proven to blossom throughout both Cary and Apex. Have you been to these restaurants? Do you have a favorite? Feel free to take part in our poll below:
