Prom took place on Saturday May 13th at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham along with the Nobody Safe Tour that took place on the same day. Many people had to decide between to going to a very popular concert or prom, although more people chose prom over the concert.  Many boys asked girls with witty poster and gifts. For example Graham Merrett asked Alexia Winans by setting up a lot of flowers with a cute poster. Liz Howard was asked by her neighbor Michael Maple, he climbed up a ladder and knocked on her window and had a poster that said, “I climbed up for you… will you get down with me at prom?” Many juniors and seniors attended prom with friends and dates.

Many seniors admitted that prom was much better than it was last year and they had a lot of fun. Taylor Brown said that her favorite part was dancing with her friends and even people she didn’t know. This years prom king and queen were Liz Howard and Mitch Sorensen, they were both very thankful and excited about this award. Students at Panther Creek had a wonderful time at the 2017 prom.
