Panther creek has always been known for its academic prowess but with AP´s now being offered to freshmen the pressure has never been higher, we asked around to find out if freshmen can take the heat. Our upperclassmen gave crystal clear answers that they had wished they got the opportunity to receive AP´s as freshmen, and they think its much easier to bump your GPA up now then it was before but instead of being able to take college level courses they had to pile as many honors as they could fit in their schedule. Due to the addition of AP world history into freshmen class options, it has never been easier for freshmen to boost their GPA´s straight out the gate. This causes an uneven Grade distribution between upper and lower classmen with freshmen nowadays receiving more opportunity than ever to boost their grades at the cost of workload. Our seniors have expressed that most of them don’t think they would have the capacity for AP classroom rigor. So now we will see whether or not freshmen will get their grades inflated or obliterated by the AP opportunity.
