The Met Gala, or more formally known as the costume institute gala is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. The Met allows our celebrities to dress and express themselves in any kind of fashion as they wish. As one of the most exclusive social events in the world, a ticket to this event costs $30,000, making it one of the most expensive fundraising events in the world.

PCNN decided to get the opinion of the very distinct outfits worn by celebrities at The Met Gala from the Panther Creek student body. We asked teacher Mr. Melvin Backwell for his opinion on James Charles peculiar outfit for The Met and he responded with “If thats what makes him feel comfortable then he should wear it”. Junior Isabela Yengling said “Kylie Jenner edited her own pictures at the Met Gala. When asked “drip or drown ?” to junior Jay Almer about Frank Ocean’s outfit at The Met, he answered with drown because of the high waters. However, when the most important question came to play about if you had the means and the money to afford those expensive designer clothes, would you dress in those distinct outfits ?
