We interviewed a few sophomores of Panther Creek High School to discover their prospects for this school year. These sophomores confirmed what we at PCNN suspected, sophomore is the awkward year; the middle child in the high school family dynamic.

After interviews, we discovered that during this year they look forward to being able to go off campus and having the freedoms that the upperclassmen have. As for the difference between freshmen and sophomore year, the biggest noticeable difference seems to have been the presence of “little people” that weren’t here last year. “The freshmen” says one student, “I see what the upperclassmen thought of us.” concluded Amiya Tuttle. They also enjoy the factor that they now know where they’re going most of the time.

Overall a common theme was the freedom to dive and the slight respect gained by being a sophomore.
