PCNN’s reporters interviewed several students on their opinions about Panther Creek’s switch from TVs in most classrooms to all classes using Promethean Boards.
Most mentioned the learning curve for teachers as they navigated the switching from TVs to smart devices with many more capabilities. It takes some extra maneuvering because of the extra capabilities of the boards. Zach Kodesh commented that “There’s a learning curve, for sure.”
However, as another student mentioned, the challenges of adjusting to the Promethean Boards in classrooms will probably be worth it because of all the features available on the Promethean Boards that weren’t accessible on TVs.
As more teachers and staff become used to these new additions to classrooms, we will be able to see if they help them teach students more effectively.
