An Exciting Year for College Football

College Football is one of America’s most watched sports.  Fans from all of the country gather to watch their favorite teams compete for one goal: to be the National Champions.  Students at Panther Creek support a variety of teams because of the different backgrounds that these students come from.  But there are many reasons as to why students watch college football rather than NFL.

In the video provided, we asked students many different questions.  However, the question “Why college football over NFL?” provoked the best responses.  Students were inspired to watch College over NFL because they wanted to see which players could potentially end up in the NFL.  Also, they believed that college players have more passion for the game than NFL players because they are playing for their school without receiving any money contracts.  Lastly, the particular student Kevin Wlosinski found that more exciting comebacks happen in college compared to the National Football League.

Another pair of questions that provided interesting feedback was “Who’s your favorite team?/What’s your National Championship prediction this year?”  There are many different reasons to why students cheer for certain teams.  Whether it be personal connections, team relativity to the area, or simply no reason at all.  Interviewee, Tommy Riggins, said that he is an Ohio State fan because of family ties to the organization.  It was observed that the interviewee’s favorite team was the same as the interviewee’s national championship prediction.

From the small amount of students our team interviewed, it is likely that the majority of Panther Creek students prefer college football over the NFL.  This may be due to the amount of college nearby to Cary, or even the collegiate influence that parents provide to the students.  We all look forward to an exciting upcoming college football season.
