Panther Creek Women’s volleyball, after going 18-4 in the regular season (8-2 in conference) has made an impressive run deep into playoffs this year. The girls beat Apex Friendship, Ardrey Kell, Mallard Creek, and Ronald Reagan high schools to get to the State Championship. Where they play Green Hope high school at NC State at noon 11/3 to compete for both the fight for 55 and the State Title. Green Hope is the back to back state champs and will be looking to win for a third time in a row.
They are on an impressive run as they have only dropped one set in their last four games, sweeping three of the teams they played on their way to the state final. Having lost to Green Hope twice in the regular season, they are underdogs going into this game, but as captain Lauren Della said, “As long as we play our best we definitely have a great chance of winning this game.” Panther Creek is lead by captains Jenna Magner, Lauren Della and Katrina Ulbrich. They are trying to do something no other Panther Creek volleyball team has done before-Make it to the State Championship and compete for a ring.
