Besides the very ambitious teenagers in the world, many lack the knowledge of knowing what they want to do with their lives. But once teenagers reach their senior year, most have a fair understanding of what they want and how they are going to get it. They also can differentiate their dreams and reality. PCNN reporters went out and interviewed different seniors around Panther Creek. This is what they found. We asked six Panther Creek students four different questions about what they think their future will result in.

Kathleen Kitts

Kathleen has already made up her mind with her future. She explained, “I’ll probably end up in the South; I don’t know where in the south but, in the south.” She wants to go to North Carolina State University and major in psychology. She believes that by that in ten years, she would probably be married with at least one kid.

Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson was a bit iffy when I asked him questions about his future but he had a fair assumption. He stated ” I don’t really want to leave North Carolina so I’ll probably stay here.” He wants to attend Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, and major in business. He believes that in ten years he’d probably have a wife but no kids.

Qwez Hudson

Qwez Hudson knows for a fact that he’ll be playing basketball in 2023. “I’ll have a home in North Carolina but I want to play basketball overseas in Europe.” Hudson stated. He hasn’t decided on a major but he would like to go to school at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He believes in ten years that he’ll be married with one child.

Melissa Fos

Melissa was also a little skeptical with her future. She stated “I’ll probably end up in New York City because I’m just in love with it.” She wants to study business and finance at the University  of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She believes in the year 2023, she probably won’t be married or have kids because she wants to enjoy her life and settle down when she hits her mid-thirties.

Ricky Bjork

Ricky Bjork was very straight-forward when talking about how he thinks his future will end up looking like. “I would like to stay in North Carolina because my family lives here and I want to be close to home,” Bjork stated. He wants to go to NC State University and become a teacher afterwards. He thinks teaching would benefit the upcoming generations. By the year 2023, he wants to have a wife and two kids.

 Josh Dodson

Josh feels that he’ll end up in Washington D.C. because the city offers great opportunities with the field he’s entering. He wants to major in law at the UNC Chapel Hill. By the year 2023, Josh wants to work for the government and become part of the senate. He hopes to have a wife and at least two kids.

Most seniors have an understanding of what they what. Some may realize that working hard to achieve their dreams is the only way to go. Some also could have an easy way out. But most times, your life and future doesn’t end up the way you would think It would end up because life is always going to be filled with both tragic and great surprises.
