Since its humble beginning in 2005, YouTube has grown into the third most visited website of all time.  With hundreds of hours of video being uploaded to YouTube every minute, YouTubers are easy to find in almost any community.  There are a wide variety of videos to be found on the site, ranging from video game tutorials to to makeup and apparel showcases, allowing nearly anyone the ability to find videos to love.  This week, PCNN Reporters interviewed three active YouTubers who attend Panther Creek.

The first YouTuber we got in touch with was junior Priscilla Zhou, who posts fashion videos regularly with a friend.  Fashion videos can consist of anything from clothing hauls to do-it-yourself jewelry tutorials to makeup lessons.  “We make videos to inspire young girls to follow their fashion sense,” says Zhou.

Junior Jon Chacko is another YouTuber at Panther Creek.  Unlike Priscilla, Jon posts music videos – particularly videos of him playing the guitar.  Chacko says that he uses YouTube primarily as a storage website so that he can have what he calls an “easy-to-access vault” consisting of all of the music he has written.

The third and final YouTuber we contacted was senior Matt Fahys, who has gained a very loyal following on the site.  matt posts gaming videos that consist of him playing the hit game “Minecraft.”  Over the course of two years, Fahys has acquired over 98,000 subscribers, and says that it is essential to do something that stands outfrom other videos in order to be successful, since there are already so many videos on YouTube.
