Catamounts Shine at This Year’s Talent Show

Tune into the talent show February 7th at 7:00 PM.

Every year, the eager Catamount family fills the auditorium to the brim for the annual “Panther Creek’s Got Talent!” event. This event allows students to showcase their special talents in front of the whole school after auditioning in front of a panel of teachers. PCNN decided to interview some students about their performances in this year’s show.

When Jake Bruen, senior, was asked why he thinks the talent show is a good event to hold, he said it pulls all of the diverse talents together into one whole. The diversity of our school is what makes Panther Creek so unique, and this diversity results in a wide range of talents. Some of these include Indian dancing, a comedy show, hula dancing, and even a rocking performance with one of our own teachers! In previous years, we’ve had students perform songs through sign language, teachers singing and making fun of student stereotypes, and even a wedding proposal!

We asked some participants of the show, as well as Mr. Benson, our chorus teacher, what they think of this event. Mr. Benson mentioned that he enjoys seeing students with hidden talents shine in front of hundreds of people and the reactions they get from the crowd. He also mentions that he enjoys the “element of surprise” in the show because you never know what talents and acts to expect. The talent show is being held this Saturday, February 7th at 7pm in the auditorium.
