Best Places to Eat Off-Campus

Off Campus lunch is a privilege that Panther Creek High School students have. Students that are upperclassmen at Panther Creek are allowed to use this privilege. Whether it’s a close location or a restaurant that requires you to rush to get there and back in time, there are many options for Panther Creek students to go to.

One area that students will go to for lunch is the Cary park area. In this shopping center the restaurants include Subway, McDonald’s, Amante Pizza, Spring Kitchen, Dunkin Donuts, and Los Tres Magueyes. Junior Cole Kipp told us in an interview that he likes to go to Los Tres Magueyes “because of taco Tuesday” for their special where they sell tacos for one dollar each. Junior Dom Sciacca told us he likes to go to “Amante because they have a great deal on pizza.” This deal includes a small pizza and a drink for seven dollars.

Another popular area that students like to go to is the Breckenridge area. Within this shopping center there is Tossed, Randy’s Pizza, and Wendy’s. Senior Emily Yarnall said she likes “Tossed, because its cheap and has quality food.” Randy’s pizza has a lunch special where you get two pieces of pizza and a drink for six dollars.

A new shopping center called Parkside Town Commons has become popular with students. In this shopping center there are many restaurants and there are many to come. Some of the restaurants in the shopping center right now include Jersey Mikes, Tijuana Flats, Uncle Maddio’s, Five Guys, and Noodles and Company. Junior Justin Soifer told us in an interview that he likes “Jersey Mikes because they have the best subs in the galaxy.” This new area will be increasingly popular with students at Panther Creek due to the new restaurants coming in and the good selection of places they have now.

In a poll that we took we got results on which restaurant was the students favorite for lunch. Chick-fil-a received a total of ten votes, earning the top spot for students. Bojangles followed as the second most popular spot, receiving nine votes. Going home for lunch and Amante’s got seven votes. McDonalds and Jersey Mikes got six votes. Tossed received five votes. Taco Bell gained three votes and other spots not included on our poll received four votes. If you are an upperclassmen at Panther Creek and you like to go off campus, there will not be a shortage in the variety of spots to travel to to get your lunch.
