The tryouts for spring sports are coming up fast, beginning February 15th. All sports teams at Panther Creek are highly competitive and looking to have successful seasons. If you are a freshman, or a student who is trying out for a team for the first time you are probably wondering what you should do in order to make your best impression when. Rachel Johnson, a junior on the softball team, believes that their team will be very good this season. Her advice for students that want to tryout is “you should work hard and always do your best.” Andrew Zuber and the baseball team are looking to win a conference title this upcoming season. His advice for guys looking to tryout is “you should work hard and try to make a name for yourself.” One of the lacrosse team’s leaders, junior Cam Sechler, says to “just try your hardest.” The team is looking to go over .500(win more than half of their games) for the first time and even try to make the playoffs. Caleb Hudson is also on the lacrosse team and believes that in order to make the team you need to “prove yourself worthy and give 100%.” Along with trying your best in tryouts, senior Jimmy Jones of the track team, believes that you should “eat healthy” in order to put yourself in top form before trying out. The women’s soccer team is looking to recreate their state championship winning season from last year this spring. Meredith Hamby said that the team is “expecting hard workers” and that you should be “a team player.” Brittany Matsinger said that you need to “work your hardest” in order to make the team that she believes can go “undefeated.” Tryouts will be here soon and all of the spring sports teams are looking forward to making an impact and being successful.
