Looking at the results, most people born in the 2000’s have a bit of an idea about technology that preceded their birth, which is not that bad of a thing. If you were to ask someone born in the future what a first generation iPhone is, they might have no clue. In this world we don’t see advances in new gadgets every day, a new piece of technology seems to come out every year that seems like it would improve the world for the better, but nothing happens further than the announcement. In the year 2025 the kids who would be 15 then will look at a the new apple watch probably like how people today look at flip phones. The telephone boxes in the streets of London have become obsolete now, because of the presence of a phone, a computer, a map, a watch, a weather forecaster, and compass that all fits into the palm of our hand.

But if you look at the kids today, the people who are going to be a freshman in 3 years, those people are the future of technology. The actions we have today influences what happens to the future, and the future is always the kids of today or tomorrow. So don’t feel bad if you couldn’t guess what a walkman is, because that is a thing of the past, and you are of the future.
