Holiday Traditions at Panther Creek

Holiday Traditions at Panther Creek

Katie Hollering, Producer

Panther Creek students are looking forward to winter break coming up soon and celebrating their favorite holidays. We found that most students at Panther Creek celebrate Christmas, next being Hanukkah, and lastly we found it very hard to find anyone that celebrates Kwanzaa anymore. Most students are staying at home for this holiday break or only traveling for a short period of time to visit family and friends.

Since most people at Panther Creek celebrate Christmas we asked about their annual traditions. Many people said that they decorate their Christmas tree and homes with their family and eat dinner together on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. People that celebrate Hanukkah have an eight day celebration by lighting candles on a Menorah, and each night one more candle is lit. Most seniors are looking forward to the New Year and being one step closer to graduating. Overall most students are looking forward to a nice long break before starting up on school again.
