Seniors Favorite Mandatory Book
High school English is one of the most time consuming classes. Much of the curriculum is dependent on comprehension of literature. For this reason, there are many books english requires us to read. We interviewed 4 Panther Creek students on what their favorite mandatory book was.
Juan Bricendo crowned “All Quiet on The Western Front,” a novel about the emotional effects of WW1, his favorite mandatory book. He said he enjoyed how he was able to choose it from a selection and he ended up liking the type of book it was.
Lashonda Dickon-Parker decided on “Lord of The Flies” to be her favorite. She was fond of the metaphors, allusions, and foreshadowing in the book.
Shyam Pandya listed “Things Fall Apart” as his personal favorite. He called it his favorite simply because he, “read it last year and thought it was pretty interesting.”
Karuna Gangwani loved “The Great Gatsby” more than the other english books because it “wasn’t as depressing” as the others.
