What did you get on Black Friday?
Black Friday is regarded as the first day of the traditional holiday shopping season. Many Americans took part in Black Friday sales in 2017, finder.com estimates that $59 billion dollars were spent on cyber Monday and black Friday sales combined. Among the most commonly purchased items are technology and clothing.
When asked if students took part in Black Friday shopping this year, many said that due to past shopping experiences involving huge crowds and limits on the number of items you can purchase, they chose to stay home or shop online. “I feel like cyber Monday is a lot better than black Friday because you don’t have to wake up as early, you don’t have to go anywhere it just shows up at your door a week later, or a couple days later.” said Panther Creek student, Spencer. Overall, students seemed to prefer shopping online to shopping in stores.
