In this story, we interviewed Panther Creek students on their experiences and opinions on Valentine’s Day.
In the video, reporter Carlie Toner and editor Hannah Braswell interviewed three Panther Creek students on their thoughts and experiences of Valentine’s Day. Beth Montalvo, Junior, shared that she went to dinner with her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day and really enjoys the holiday. She uses it as an opportunity to spend time with the people that she loves. Madi Middledorf also went to lunch with her boyfriend, and enjoys celebrating her sister’s birthdays on that day as well. Her favorite Valentine’s Day gift she’s ever received was a bag of inside jokes from her boyfriend Freshman year. Lastly, we interviewed Brianna Stroud who said that she doesn’t love Valentine’s Day because she feels that it is a cliche. However, she did enjoy dinner with friends and enjoys her mother’s Valentine’s Day dessert tradition. These two opinions are the typical two perspectives on Valentine’s Day, as seen in this article from debate.org.
