Store Brand vs Name brand… Can you tell?
We set out to test the students at Panther Creek on their abilities to distinguish between name brand and store brand snacks. In this video, we used Cheez-its and Oreos, which we bought from target. The taste testing was done by five Panther Creek students. Their names are: Teddy Sarian, Taylor Schlegel, Matt Jensen, Chyze Hall, and Skyler Georges, who are all seniors. We asked each student if they thought they could tell the difference between a name brand and store brand Oreo and Cheez-it. All of the students responded affirmatively, so we put them to the test.
Our first tester was Teddy Sarian, he started off the group strong with two correct guesses. Tedrick admitted that he does not eat these snacks often but proved his skills by getting both the Oreos, and Cheez-its correct. Next up, we had dancer Taylor Schlegel. Taylor unfortunately did not meet her own expectations and guessed incorrectly for the Cheez-its, although she did admit that she eats Oreos more often than Cheez-its. Then, we had Matt Jensen, who had the same results as Taylor. After Matt, Chyze Hall was tested. Chyze guessed both snacks correctly, just like he predicted. Last but not least Skyler Georges attempted to guess which Oreo/Cheeze-it was name brand and which was store brand. Skyler ended the video on a positive note by guessing both snacks correctly.
In conclusion, the Oreos were clearly easier to distinguish since there were no incorrect guesses.
