Brian Hernandez as this weeks Athlete Of The Week!
Here at PCNN, we have started a weekly story, “Athlete of the Week.” Panther Creek’s athlete of the week is senior, third basemen, and pitcher Brian Hernandez. Hernandez had one hit, an on-base percentage of .250, and was left on base 5 times in the game against Northern. In Panther Creek’s game against Roxboro Community, Hernandez had a run, a hit, and an on-base percentage of .667. in the 5-1 victory for the Catamounts. Brian Hernandez credits his performance this week to the practice he and his teammates put in over the course of the week. Hernandez says practice allows him to gain that muscle memory that is required in a repetition sport like Baseball. The best advice Hernandez says he received is to “always move forward.” He says that his coaches tell him that all the time, even if they make a bad play, they still need to move forward. Congrats Brian on being our Athlete of the Week. Good luck on the rest of the season, and keep crushing it, and you will find yourself back on Athlete of the Week. Way to go Brian!!
