CARY- On March 16, 2015, Panther Creek will host their prom at Embassy Suites, their first off-campus site since 2010. The theme for the night is “Under the Stars,” one that has excited many students, including senior Doral Kasper. “I think it’s a really cute theme,” Kasper said, “It’s going to be really cool to see how they decorate the hotel to reflect it.”

Each year, “promposals,” or the act of finding an elaborate way to ask someone to be your date to prom, becomes a nationwide trend, one that has carried over at Panther Creek. While some promposals bring stress to students, they’re also a lot of fun to plan out according to senior Andrew Pritko, who asked Maddie Pillar to prom.

“It’s hard to make a promposal that’s creative and fun but also has meaning to the person you’re promposing to,” Pritko said. “Mine went great because it had a good mix of originality and personal meaning to (Pillar).”

Senior Parker Williams thinks the pressure of putting together a promposal is a lot to handle.

“Promposals are basically a step below asking a girl to marry you,” Williams said. “It’s the most stressful thing in the world to be creative.”
