Senior Class takes on Senior Week

Each year there is spirit week for the entire school to show their school spirit. This falls in the beginning of the year and more than half the school partakes in it. But for seniors, the get to have a second shot at showing their school spirit in May for senior week. May is the busiest month for seniors in terms of school pride because its their final shot at making their mark on Panther Creek High School.

This years senior week, May18th-22nd, consisted of one similar theme to the past years, future occupation day, but mainly were mainly new themes. One traditional theme is college spirit day which falls on the friday of that week. Themes are determined by the student council and takes about two weeks to get finalized. This years weeks were:

Monday – Red, White & Blue Day
Tuesday – Tie Die Day
Wednesday – Future Occupation Day
Thursday – Senior Citizen Day
Friday – College Spirit Day

When asked, seniors said they chose to participate because “it’s our last imprint on the school and it’s fun to dress up just as a senior class and not the entire school.” For seniors who didn’t partake they said, “we were going to but the thing about senioritis is.. we forgot.” All in all the seniors enjoyed their last “hoorah” and are sad but excited to be exiting Panther Creek with a bang.
